The scope of planning covers Qianshaozha River in the east, Port of Baxiao in the west, Jinxiu Road in the south and Beiheng Yinhe in the north, with the planning area of 136.50 hectares.
The project mainly has three functions: Experience agriculture sector, international resort hotel sector and international sports sector. The scheme design takes the site characteristics as the entry point, builds the complete creativity by conceiving the unique spatial temperament and life scenes and creates the building and space with regional spirituality. Meanwhile, the design focuses on the user’s experience and feelings, aims to seek for the pureness from the complexity and strives for granting the power and life to the buildings while innovation.
Overall positioning of Chongming District: World-class ecological island
The planning uses the four ecological development strategies: Stick to the bottom line of population, land use, ecology and safety; Vigorous implementation + Ecological strategy:Including ecological bottom line, ecological resources, ecological network, ecological nodes and ecological restoration; Steadily promote the ecology + strategy: Attract the young people through ecology + vitality; Define the development orientation of three functions – future agriculture, tourism and innovation through ecology + power; Improve the regional landscape quality comprehensively through ecology + charm; Turn to the ecological life and production mode practically: Enhance the idea of ecological protection and guide the change of lifestyle towards the green and low-carbon, civilized and healthy direction.
Design Concept
Adhere to the design idea of “reconstruction of nature”, think about the relationship between man and nature, and take the building as the medium for harmonious coexistence of man and nature. Provide the infinite creation for the transformation and upgrading of the villages with the role of natural life creator.
The scheme design takes the site characteristics as the entry point, builds the complete creativity by conceiving the unique spatial temperament and life scenes and creates the building and space with regional spirituality. Meanwhile, the design focuses on the user’s experience and feelings, aims to seek for the pureness from the complexity and strives for granting the power and life to the buildings while innovation.
Design concept: It adheres to the design philosophy of “reconstruction of nature” and takes the site characteristics as the design entry point.
Halcrow (China) thinks that: It shall take the building as the media for the harmonious coexistence of man and nature, and provide the infinite creativity for the transformation and upgrading of rural areas with the role of natural life creator.
Positioning objective: Build Chongming ecological demonstration zone through the organic integration of modern high-end industry, ecology and culture.
Build the six key projects and an international sports event around the four sectors, and build Chongming ecological demonstration zone through the combination of culture, international sports, hotel and agricultural tourism experience.

Experience a magical “non-daily sense of stay” by reference to caring for the comfort and the holiday habit of tenants.
2.International high-quality winery
Break the conventional construction pattern, such as a gallery bridge, with integration of free layout and nature, modern, luxurious and natural.
3.Athletes apartments
Modern building complex integrating the hotel, entertainment, catering and assembly room function.
4.Rowing club
Build the international high-level sports project, integrate the project into the landscape, and make people experience the relaxation and tranquility of body and mind.
5.International sports physiotherapy center
People oriented, and pay attention to the healthy lifestyle.
6.Equestrian center
Make the design for the elegant horse racing specially, with simple and reasonable space.
7.Triathlon center
Scientific and reasonable setting of racing track, with coastal route and beautiful landscape.
