Recently, leaders and planning experts from Qingdao West Coast Development (Group) Co., Ltd. and Planning Institute in Qingdao paid a visit to Halcrow (China) and invited Halcrow (China) to participate in the competition for the “conceptual planning of the central business area in the economic new area of Qingdao West Coast.” The new economic area at the west coast of Qingdao is the new area determined in the “development plan for the blue economic area in Shandong Peninsula” for construction, it is an important support for the construction of the blue economic area in Shandong Peninsula, and is also the strategic supporting point of our country for the development of the marine economy. To implement the national strategy, speed up the construction of the economic new area at the west coast of Qingdao, Qingdao West Coast Development (Group) Co., Ltd., decided to develop the activity of “collection for the international scheme of conceptual planning for the central business area in the economic new area of west coast in Qingdao”. 近期青岛西海岸发展（集团）有限公司及青岛市规划院的相关领导及规划专家对合乐进行了考察，并邀请Halcrow 英国合乐（中国）参加《青岛西海岸经济新区中央商务区概念性规划》国际方案竞赛。青岛西海岸经济新区是《山东半岛蓝色经济区发展规划》明确建设的新区，是山东半岛蓝色经济区建设的重要支撑，也是我国海洋经济发展的战略支点。为落实国家战略，加快建设青岛西海岸经济新区，青岛西海岸发展（集团）有限公司决定开展”青岛西海岸经济新区中央商务区概念规划国际方案征集”活动。拟通过具有国际视野的前瞻性规划设计，在中央商务区重点发展金融服务、现代商务、高端商业、旅游度假，培育西海岸金融聚集区，增强综合服务功能。集聚具有国际影响力的文化事件和国际会议，推进文化产业和文化品牌建设，构建人文新区。
