Located in the east of Wuzhong District, Suzhou, bordering Wusong River on the north and Cheng Lake on the south, Luzhi Town is a national historical and cultural town. It has an obvious locational advantage in the economically developed Yangtze River Delta city cluster, connecting with Kunshan to the east and Suzhou Industrial Park to the north. The total area is about 22.4 square km.

With the research of the functional structure, dominant landscape characteristics, open spaces and morphological features of the site, Halcrow provides design guidance for urban height zoning, landscape characters and open space etc. Urban design in key areas includes the overall urban design research outcomes and control elements, deepening the study of spatial patterns and proposing design schemes and guideline requirements of high-rise building layouts, city landmarks, main interfaces, open spaces and so on.
